We recently wrote an article about free business courses at the University of People and through the MIT Open CourseWare as free online MBA alternatives. This week, London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) announced that is now offering students free online MBA business classes.

Free Online MBA Courses at London School of Business and Finance (LSBF)

Accredited by the University of Wales, London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) will make its MBA lectures, discussion groups, and other learning materials available to students around the world — through its Facebook page. All courses are free. Students will only pay if they decide to take a formal qualification exam.

Aaron Etingen, founder of London School of Business and Finance, the business school offering the free MBA classes, said, “Even if people do not decide to go for formal accreditation, the LSBF Global MBA will, at no cost, better equip business students to deal with the global job market. There is immense potential in the market for online education. Facebook is a real part of people’s lives and, owning a sense of social responsibility, we want to promote accessibility to knowledge.”

The video below explains how LSBF is going to offer its MBA online for free on Facebook:

This democratization of the MBA degree means that thousands of students all over the world can now view the lectures, which include speakers from top organisations as Deloitte, Accenture and the Royal Navy, without formally pursuing and paying a hefty sum of money for the course.

Over the past decades, there have been real barriers for students to pursue an MBA, especially since the cost of an online MBA can be prohibitive. Using the Facebook platform, LSBF expects to acquire at least 500,000 MBA students in the first year.

I have dreaming to go for MBA but time and resources have been the iremovable hurdles; I mean time to attend the regular classes and hefty tuitiion fee for a degree like MBA. I could not think of exploring an instituition that could offer a degree like MBA free of cost and at the same at the free time of a learner. Not to say, the admission test and other formal requirements were also jeering at me as I have forgotten most part of the math. I have worked on math for quite afew months and hopefully would be able to do some basic math. But I am happy that eventually I have found a source of knowledge that is going to help me to fulfill my dream of acquiring a much sought after degree in today’s world of Business. My only question is If a student of your school wants to take the formal exam,he would be granted the regular MBA degree? If not then what would be he awarded with?
Your effort towards making a meaningful world by offering a Free degree at the Liberty of a learner is beyond the words of appreciation.
