The program is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
The program is offered in two formats: a fully online course and a hybrid format that combines online and classroom study. The flexibility allows you to complete earn your MBA in 24 months without interrupting your career. To facilitate teamwork and enhance learning, you will be assigned to a cohort of approximately 25 students who will be together until the completion of the MBA program.
Online MBA Specializations at UMUC
After completing your MBA program (45 credits), you may decide to earn a dual degree by completing 18 extra semester hours in one of the following programs:

- Master of Science in Health Care Administration

Online MBA Completion Requirements at UMUC
To complete your online MBA at UMUC, you must take 45 credits consisting of one 3-credit prerequisite course and seven 6-credit seminars. Each of these seminars is 10 weeks long with three weeks off between seminars. The 3-credit prerequisite course may be waived if you have scored at least 600 on the GMAT or have already completed a graduate degree.
