I have been considering going back to school to get my MBA. I didn’t realize the difference in executive MBA programs compared to MBA programs was more about convenience for busy business people. For some reason I thought it had more to do with the area of study or that the students were already executives. I think having some work experience before getting an MBA is a good idea. Right now I work with some people who have MBA’s, but they haven’t worked long and you can tell- the degree doesn’t always make them better at their jobs right away. I think I’d like to wait another year or so and then go back and get an executive MBA. I live in Arizona so I hope I can get into Thunderbird because they have incredible MBA programs, and I’m sure they have executive MBA’s too.
