The Duke Online MBA program offers the chance for executives from diverse locations and industries to focus on specific studies. The Duke Online MBA program is recognized as one of the world’s first Global programs. The program allows applicants to gain a sense of global leadership skills throughout the curriculum and format of learning that is connected to key world economies. In this online program, students will complete 5 mandatory terms over 15 months or 6 terms if choosing an area of concentration. Students will spend time in a short in-person residency sessions paired with longer distance learning sessions.

Duke’s online MBA program is accredited by the Association to the Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The AACSB is an accrediting agency for business administration and accounting programs at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree levels.

What are the Application Requirements for Duke’s Online MBA Program?

To apply for Duke’s Online MBA Program you must complete the following:

  • GMAT – not required, but for candidates with limited quantitative experience can strengthen his/her application with a competitive GMAT score.
  • Essays- allow the admissions committee to better understand your want to purse an MBA and what you can bring to Duke.
  • Past Academic Experience with any undergraduate major
  • Work Experience- Minimum of 10 years post-undergraduate work and experience in addition to current or pending global work responsibilities.

What are the Graduation Requirements for Duke’s Online MBA Program?

Over the course of 15 months, students are required to complete 8 core modules, 3 multi-term courses, plus an option to take electives and focus on a specialization area.

Modules include:

  • Strategy

Two multi-term courses will be completed. One focuses on the importance of global markets and institutions. The second focuses on cultures and civilizations. This course is learned from information gathered around the regions traveled during residencies. The third multi–term course addresses the unique leadership and personal development issues that can occur with senior executives.

How Much Does a Duke Online MBA Cost?

The total program cost of an online MBA at Duke is approximately $152,500. This cost includes books, lodging and meals during the 5 residential sessions. However, tuition does not include travel to and from the residential sessions, a laptop computer, personal internet service, visas, or any necessary vaccinations.
