What are the Application Requirements for Northeastern University’s Online MBA Program?

Before applying for the online MBA program, please ensure that you meet the following requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • English language fluency
  • 3.0 or higher GPA on a scale of 4.0
  • Currently employed – including five years of demonstrated professional experience in participation and leadership work teams, financial and/or budgetary responsibility, and management of staff in direct reporting relationship
  • For candidates not meeting minimum work requirements, the admissions committee may consider supplemental documentation, including official GMAT test scores and/or official professional designations or certifications.

    Once all of the requirements have been met, the applicant will obtain and application from an Admissions Advisor. The advisor will help to explore different options for financing, explain the entire application process step-by-step, determine the best date to begin and address any questions or concerns.

    The application packet will include the following:

  • Three (3) letters of recommendation including one from an employer who cannot be a friend and/or relative
  • Application essay
  • Most up-to-date resume
  • All official transcripts of prior undergraduate and/or graduate work reflecting degree conferred by an accredited institution (international transcripts must be translated and/or evaluated by an outside agency to prove US equivalency to an undergraduate degree)
  • Non-refundable $100 application fee
  • After the applicant has completed the entire packet and has included all of the required information, the packet should be sent to Northeastern University for review. Packets missing information will not be reviewed by the admissions committee.

The MBA program consists of 17 courses that total 50 semester hours over the course of 24-27 months depending on the state date that is selected. The core classes consist of:

The total program cost of an online MBA at Northeastern University is dependent upon your eligibility for employer reimbursement and the materials/software needed for the program.
